Side Character Appreciation Hour! (SCAH Part 1)

Over the last weeks, we have already introduced a multitude of characters and their respective voiceactors to all of you, who are adding their magic to the Bane of the Talebearer universe. But besides all the major main and side characters that play returning roles, there also are a lot of one-off side characters that inhabit this world that bring their life and personality to it. And today we want to shine a light on some of the guests that have already contributed to the Bane of the Talebearer project in a small yet important part!

So, in this first episode of SIDE CHARACTER APPRECIATION HOUR we bring you Morrison Brouwer and Rosalie Sijpkens!

Morrison was cast as Geram, the Negotiator in the second episode of Bane of the Talebearer and he gave the right amount of warmth and empathy to this role (and to counter his more hotheaded conversation partner haha). It was Morrison’s first time recording voice acting in a studio like this, but in terms of writing and performing this was absolutely not his first rodeo. Morrison writes his own fantasy worlds, maps and stories as well, so he could easily identify with the needs and ideas of this project.

Rosalie was cast as Kid 1 (Heard in episode 3) and Hysterical Rich Lady (Somewhere in episode 7) which might sound like minor parts (And in a way they are) but you will absolutely notice them when they happen. Rosalie had her first experience doing voice acting in a studio with this session and she gave the exact right amount of frantic funny energy that the two parts needed. It’s not often someone does a scream of terror and it gets me to almost pee my pants laughing. Amazing work!

Expect more side character appreciation hours in the coming weeks as many more wonderful characters visited the studio and did their magic!
